Polish privatization: PKS Lubliniec Public Transport Company

Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji Samochodowej w Lublińcu Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością is a transport company connecting Lubliniec with other Polish cities. The company offers urban and suburban passenger transport and supporting services.

The Treasury offers 51,000 shares, constituting 85% commanding majority of the company, for one buyer, with a nominal value of PLN 50.00 (€12.44, $17.62). All interested potential investors should buy the “Company Memorandum” for details on the financial and legal situation of the company. The prices shall be up to negotiations, but the nominal value of these shares is €124,440, $898,620.

Lubliniec is a county center in the region of Silesia, bordering the Czech Republic. The town has 24,000 inhabitants, the same named county is populated by 77,000 people. The population has been growing in the past decade. The company offers an affordable stepping stone to the Polish (and possibly Czech) public transport market. This market has been significantly liberalized in the EU effective from December 2009. A similar call is open for the Zawiericie public transport company which is ideally located to be handled as a group.
